Baltimore students' funded street art reached City Hall

A Baltimore art teacher, listed on DonorsChoose as Ms. Monica, asked donors for paint pens, spray paint, stencils and money for a field trip so her students could make street art. Donors funded the whole request. Students in three middle and high school classes, 76 in all, made their own pieces, and eight of them were chosen as finalists and showed their work at the Baltimore City Hall Black History Month competition. In her thank-you note the teacher credited the donors' "generosity and kindness," and DonorsChoose featured the project among 18 funded classrooms that summer.
